Bosch, a German company known for exacting design and premium craftsmanship, needed to adapt its advertising strategy to appeal to Gen Z customers who favor social media. Despite their expertise in tools, they had to learn how to use social media as an effective marketing platform to keep up with the generational shift. Both generations value quality, even if it comes at a higher cost than the competition.

Solution

To showcase Bosch’s expertise in construction tools, we used #ThrowbackThursday to showcase vintage tools with immersive design and animation on selected Thursdays over eight months. The design and imagery took viewers back to iconic eras, including Old Hollywood and 80s Pop Art.

Results

The Bosch TBT campaign utilized nostalgic visual treatments to reinforce the message of the brand’s longstanding history of providing quality tools. The campaign generated over 3 million user engagements and appealed to a new generation of customers.
